What is polymer clay?

Polymer Clay is not really clay at all, but polyvinyl chloride (PVC) mixed with plasticizers for flexibility and color pigments. After completing the design of a piece, and the clay is baked causing the PVC particles to polymerize. The clay-like mold-ability and the chemical polymerization is how polymer clay got its name.

Because each piece is handmade, your purchase may not look exactly like the one that is pictured. We make every effort to accurately represent the pieces pictured on this site.

How do we make our jewelry?

All of our jewelry is created using various techniques with different polymer clays and assorted metals. During the design process, the clay may be stretched, blended, reduced, embossed, stamped, painted, sculpted, or carved, then it is formed into long rolls, sheets or blocks with designs hidden inside. That's where the artistry comes in. Different clays have different characteristics, the complex blending and care taken in the choice of color and design create the uniqueness and beauty in each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike, but the combination of the clays chosen and colors blended make each one its own special work of art.

How can we keep our prices so reasonable?

We are able to offer our jewelry for such reasonable prices because we use silver and gold simulated metals. Our ear wires are nickel free and Hypo-allergenic. We do offer alternatives to these wires for a slightly higher cost.
